US Big Red One 3 Pc
Of the three infantry divisions that the U.S. Army provided to invade Normandy, none had stronger credentials than the 1st Division. The 1st Division possessed a distinguished lineage. Organized in the spring of 1917 after America entered World War I, the 1st Division ranked as the army’s oldest active division. It was the first American division to land in France, and it became the first to take the offensive by seizing Cantigny on May 28, 1918. The division also adopted a shoulder patch with the large red numeral that inspired the proud nickname, the “Big Red One.” These skillfully crafted 1:32 scale pewter sculptures reflect the pride and with which American, British and German soldiers of WWII fought for their countries. This collection features prominent heroes and leaders from one of our country's most significant wars including infantry soldiers and notable wartime leaders. Each figure is handcrafted with appropriate uniform and weaponry. Figures measure approximately 1:32 scale.
